Within two business days after the caseworker places the child for adoption, the caseworker takes the following actions:
- Notifies the foster care eligibility specialist that the child has been placed for adoption.
- Notifies the TARE coordinator of the child’s placement with the family if the child or family is registered on the Texas Adoption Resource Exchange (TARE).
- Notifies other adoption exchanges about the placement if the child or family is registered on any other adoption resource exchanges.
Following the consummation of the child’s adoption and prior to closing the child’s case in IMPACT, the DFPS or SSCC caseworker uploads the adoption home assessment and background checks to OneCase under the Adoption tab.
