If termination of parental rights (TPR) is appealed, or a relative files a petition within 90 days after TPR requesting appointment as permanent managing conservator (PMC) of a child or sibling group registered on TARE, the primary caseworker notifies the child’s TARE coordinator. The TARE coordinator must immediately suspend recruitment efforts on TARE until the primary caseworker receives a court order to continue recruitment on TARE. If the court does not order continued recruitment, the primary caseworker suspends recruitment on TARE until the appeal is resolved.
