The FAD worker must ensure all adoptive homes are clean, safe, and free of obvious fire and safety hazards. The home must also be equipped with working smoke detectors. The FAD worker must document the home's condition using Form 2932 [sic, broken link] Environmental Health Checklist, and Form 3006 [sic, broken link] Fire Safety Checklist for Adoptive Homes.

Any concerns documented during an inspection must be immediately corrected and the adoptive home must comply with any conditions or restrictions the inspector or evaluator specifies at the time of the inspection.
