A contract for basic parent or caregiver training must provide for the teaching and modeling of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the following areas:

  •  Growth and development of children

  •  Behavior management and alternatives to physical discipline

  •  Parent-child relationship, including communication skills

  •  Child care

  •  Nutrition, hygiene, and other fundamentals of physical care, and

  •  Nurturance of children

Note: Participating in staffings for case planning and appearing in court to provide testimony are also required when they are requested.
